Blind date.

Immediately you're thinking something bad from that title. Blind dates have a bad wrap. But not THIS blind date. It was a GROUP blind date. Aka the funnest thing ever. Five girls. Five boys. The boys knew each other. The girls knew each other (well sort of) and one girl and one boy decided to make this big blind date happen.

Meet at the apartment at 7. That's all the instruction I got. I didn't get a name of the date, what he looked like, what we were doing. NOTHING. So I was in for a big surprise:)

I was the first one to get there so I met all the guys. They joked about "ok which one do you want?" Eventually all the girls got there. And we walked to the cars. We split up six in the truck. Four in the honda. (I was in the "fun car" it was just the four of us and truthfully we ended up just being a double date) we hit the freeway and just drove. The boys handed us a menu and asked us to pick what we wanted.  Not really knowing what was good and what wasn't, we just trusted the guy who had been there and we all ordered the same thing. We get to the 6th guys house in Sandy and waited for him to bring the food.

Downstairs. Ping pong. We played Around the World.  I guess you could say we were pretty good--but there was definitely some sass and competition in that game. You almost could've called it around the world sting pong addition. Finally the food came.

Went upstairs. Blessed it. Started divvying it out. The other car got the healthy nasty stuff where the "cool car"  got the yummy unhealthy food:) and as luck would have it with the chairs---the other six ate outside and the cool four ate inside.

We had to eat fast because the movie was soon. We switched from the honda to a big truck. Loaded up both trucks with love sacks, blankets, pillows, etc. Then we hit up the freeway. Drive some more. On the drive there--the other girl and I sat in the back (our request. not the boys) and there had to have been something in that food we ate because we were CRAZY. We were laughing, screaming, giggling. Our dates probably hated us haha. The boys said "Were you guys even friends before tonight?" We said no... because I'd never met this girl. Boys: "Well we've been friends for years and I think you too are acting closer and more of best friends than we are!" Here's the thing with girls. When you meet a girl and it's basically you and her. You either loathe her with every fiber of your being OR she becomes your best friend/sister. Pretty sure we are long lost best friends, we got along THAT well.

Finally we got to our destination. And wouldn't you know it? One of my dream dates came true. A drive-in movie :) Although we didn't watch most of the movie(no we weren't making out. Just talking!)--It was unforgettable! The "cool car" wasn't really close to the other car, so our double date continued. The four of us all squished together with all our blankets and paraphernalia in the bed of the truck and just talked. There was LOTS of laughing. The cars next to us kept giving us dirty looks. After the movie we kept talking, we even played "dead woman" and dog pile. There was even a bit of tickling. We moved the truck over to by where the other car was to prepare for the other movie (yes a second one, I know crazy huh?) But the boys said that the second movie was a little risque and they didn't want to stay and watch it. So we drove home. On the way home, I got passenger seat. AKA the DJ. And I'm a pretty good one at that if I do say so myself. We drove back to the house. Played a little bit of ping pong then decided that since me and the other girl had work early the next morning that we should go home.
Well. We parked the "cool car" truck behind the other truck so it had to be moved. And jokingly I said "Can I move it?" AND MY DATE LET ME DRIVE HIS TRUCK. Oh man, I fell in love with that truck the minute I sat in the driver seat. Also, what trust! He had so much trust in me and he doesn't even know me. Wow. It was just great. So I moved the truck, we got back in the Honda and drove home. Dropped off the girl. Dropped off me. And it was the end of a FANTASTIC blind date.

We have plans to hangout again sometime. Even if it's just the four of us. We just had a really good time:) Goll I just love big group dates. They're the bomb. Hanging out with a bunch of guys and a bunch of girls---you're just asking for a good time. And that's exactly what we had. A good time:)
