The bet

One time I made a bet with my best friend.

It goes like this...

He thinks I'm going to get married within the next 5 years.

I think I won't get married for AT LEAST 5 years.

So we shook on 20 bucks. 

If I get married within 5 years-- I owe him.

If I get married after 5 years--he owes me.

This is a bet I can't lose :)
