{my favorite boy}

On Saturday I got to go on a date with my favorite boy! Calen :)
It made me realize how much I miss him. And it's a shame we are both always so busy otherwise I would INSIST that we always be together, like old times :)

Anyway. It was just going to be the two of us but it ended up being a double date. We went up the canyon. And while we were driving up that scary dark road I decided it would be a good idea to tell them about Slenderman. BAD IDEA.  I was terrified the whole rest of the time we were up there!

Anyway. We chose a good spot and the other couple made the fire while Calen and I went to go gather sticks. I clung to him with all my might. It was so dark and scary! Not the mention my image of Slenderman still in my head. But we roasted marshmallows and made smores. And then the boys told and acted out scary stories, which they actually turned out to be more funny than scary since they were acting them out :)

After the fire had burned out we went to the other boy's house. We WERE going to watch a scary move but realized we didn't have time for it. So instead we watched an episode of Sherlock and OH MY LICK it's AMAZING! I literally am obsessed with that show now. It is so clever. I mean I loved Sherlock Holmes before but it has just been taken to the next level. Totally better than watching a scary movie. Well... not entirely.. I mean in scary  movies you get to cuddle and snuggle up to each other and then when it gets super scary you hide your face in their shoulder? You know what I'm talking about yeah? Well since there weren't any terribly scary parts there was no hiding in the shoulder, but there WAS all the other stuff :)
And cute Calen fell asleep. It was just nice!

Then he took me home and that gave us a chance to talk just the two of us in the car. And man, I miss that kid. He's so funny and so easy to talk to. No wonder I liked him from the moment I met him. He's just the greatest :)
