I am in choir. A Capella to be exact. And it is required to be a part of "Solo and Ensemble" which is a competition of sorts you prepare a solo or become part of an ensemble and sing a song. It is then adjudicated by Mr. Keyes and he decides whether or not you go onto region.
Why would anyone want to get to region? Because you get a free "no concert report" obviously!
Well as this goes every year, I procrastinate until the week of. I chose the song yesterday. Solo and Ensemble is tomorrow. Excellent planning on my part. ((Job well done Watson)) ((fellow readers. Don't be alarmed sometimes I talk to myself as if I am both Sherlock and Watson. Completely normal))
Anyway. It's a trio, sung with my two good friends ((also my wardies)) Georgia Ann Bowman and Allison Mae Powell. It's a tight 3 part harmony song.. And if I do say so myself ((and I do)) we sound pretty good! So good that all three of our mothers. Mine, Georgia's, and Allison's said we need to sing it in church. So we are! ((I'll announce the date at a later time))
Well, as you know from my previous post that I am over coming this sickness ((I am feeling MUCH better by the way)) but I am not fully healed. But in this song, there a little part where I sing by myself ((*cough* solo *cough*)) and it doesn't exactly sound good because I'm not fully well again.
So I'm a bit nervous...
But I shall do my best and I'm sure it'll be excellent!
Cherrio then!
