summer with Bubs: Tuesday: june 10th

So tonight it was Sydney's (my Miss Orem queen 2013) sendoff--I went to speak at it, you know being her 2nd attendant and all. And that little sendoff confirmed any thought I ever had about me not doing another pageant again. Everyone said "you should've won" "do it again next year" "next year is your year" but honestly? Pageants aren't my thing. Yes it's be AWESOME to have a giant crown on my head and have my picture hanging in the city building but I don't want to have all those responsibilities. I don't want to go to Miss Utah. The pageant world is a scary one and I'd rather not be apart of it anymore.
 So after that finally ended--my knight in shining armor and his gold prius picked me up from the Scera. What were we to do that night? Who knows? We drove home and in my driveway who should call but CARLY.
She said that her and Emily were going to see The Fault in Our Stars and wanted to know if I wanted to come.
THAT IS MY FAVORITE BOOK AND THEY MADE A MOVIE OUT OF IT OF COURSE I WANT TO GO SEE IT!! But. I was with Bubba... and there's way that he'd want to come with three girls to the chickiest chick flick of the year.
But I asked him, and he's so good, he said yes :) So we flew off in a dash to the theater to go see the movie!
Well-- the movie was about the best thing imaginable. They followed the book so well and I was so pleased. Luckily I didn't cry NEARLY as much as I did when I read the book (I don't think Bubba would've still liked me if he did see me cry that much)
And to my utmost joy--Bubs enjoyed the movie just as much as I did. He worried about her when she was climbing the hard stairs. He made lots of comments "oh I like him" "what a nice guy"
I just loved that he actually cared about the movie enough to care about the characters. And that cute kid he cried too:) That was one of the most tender moments I've experienced. Seeing him cry to my favorite book/movie/love story. It was just good ya know?

Overall. I loved the movie. Well done to those who made it, I was well pleased.
And I love Bubba even MORE because he cried with me :)
