{a good day}

I got to see him today :)
I got to see Ben today!
He was still in a coma, but all I wanted was to see him.

They didn't know I was coming but I came. All by myself. I was greeted by a huge hug from Jeremiah. (And I don't even really know Miah, but it was as if we had been friends for years) He escorted me into Ben's room. And there he was. All hooked up to every kind of machine possible. But there he was. It took everything in me to hold back my tears, it hurt my heart to see him like that. But I also was just so excited to see him. The doctors brought me up to speed with what was happening, and I got to hold Ben's hand:) I talked to him--he didn't talk back, but I knew he could hear me.
Then his mom asked, "So do you know him from cheer?"
"No he and I are just really really good friends."
"It's Amy right?"
"Yes."
*huge smile* "Oh, he's talked about you before."

I smiled and turned back to look at Ben. What a cutie. He was hooked up with so many tubes and such, and he still was the most handsome person in the world.
I stayed there for a while. Just looking at him and holding his hand. Then realized I should probably go...

I thanked them for letting me see him and asked if it would be ok if I came tomorrow..
His mom said, "Well, we're trying to keep it down to close friends and family..  but turns out Ben has A LOT of friends..."
I smiled and said, "Yes... yes he does."

Miah escorted me out and while we were walking he said, "Yes. You can come tomorrow. Thank you so much for coming, it means a lot to me and I know how much it would mean to Ben. So please come back tomorrow." I willingly accepted and promised to be back.
But I got to see him. I got to hold his hand. I got to talk to him. And that's all I wanted :)

...THEN...

It was our spring fling day date. I picked up Maddie, Calen, and Josh and we met everyone at Cascade elementary park. We had pizza and then the real fun happened...
WHIPPED CREAM AND CHOCOLATE SYRUP FIGHT!

Holy cow I don't think I've ever had so much fun! Calen got me so good. I was completely COVERED in chocolate syrup! I accidentally gave him a fat lip.. I hit him really hard in the mouth with the whipped cream can and he started bleeding. I felt really bad until he accidentally hit me in the eye with the whipped cream can. He has a fat lip and I have a swollen eyebrow.. so we are even :)

It was chaos! Everyone was chasing everyone. And once all the syrup and cream was gone we started using the 2 liters of soda we had bought! It was a mess! But it was so fun:) After we ran out of stuff to cover each other in we cover two giant tarps with water and liquid soap and slid down the hill. We were freezing! But having the time of out lives! We rinsed off in the hose/sprinklers then it was time to go home. With the heater cranked and all of us too sticky for words, we went home.
Calen had taken his shirt off because it was so sticky , so when we hugged when I walked him up to the door... we stuck together! We slowly had to unpeel ourselves. Haha:) Too good.
Anyway, Today was just... a good day :)
Now I'm off to an ODC sleepover! Goodnight!
