{Goodbye BFF}

Today was the day my best friend, Adam Schraedel, went into the MTC. And it breaks my heart to say I didn't get to tell him goodbye. Not even a hug.  So to compensate for my sadness, I'm going to tell you about our relationship.

This is Adam Bruce Schraedel.

He and I are "BFFs"     Want to know how we became that way?   I shall tell you.

When I was a little, tiny, naive seventh grader, Adam was a big and bad ninth grader. But we had one thing in common. We both did plays. So--the first one of the year was The Sound Of Music ((I know it's EVERYONE'S favorite))     anyway Adam got the lead role of Captain Von Trapp-- while I little seventh grader got a nun.

        As you can see, Adam was quite good at his role((the kissing part anyway--they kissed over 50 times...I won't reveal my source to you but its a good one))
But Adam was shy I guess... well maybe it was just out of his comfort zone he couldn't exactly capture the Captain fully. But I remember when he did.

It was during rehearsal. It was a scene with Heather and Adam. Tibbits and Kate were nagging away at Adam "Get mad!"  "You can't believe she did that"  "Just let your anger loose"  "Come on Adam just do it!!"  ((just their usual yelling, you know))  and I guess he about had it because he yelled SO loud at Heather, the entire auditorium froze--and was silent. For AT LEAST 30 seconds ((which is long when it's silent)) then everyone started laughing, clapping, cheering, applauding. No one believe he had it in him.
                   I remember that. Pretty crazy stuff.

Well... I can't exactly how ((sad)) but I guess one time I said Hey BFF! And it was from there we've gotten closer and better friends:) I joined dance with Colleen Collins Smith that year, and wouldn't you know it? Adam danced there too. We both went on tour and as you can see from the picture below he helped rescue me from a giant boulder!

 Adam has always been there for me. He's the one that knows when something is wrong. He can tell when I'm lying, and he can always make me smile. He brightens my day just by smiling at me. And when we watch scary movies, he is the one to protect me. He really is my best friend. And I love him a lot. And I already miss him a lot.

Dear Elder Adam Bruce Schraedel,
You are one of the most amazing people I've ever met. I can't imagine my life without you in it. I know you will be and already are an amazing missionary. Have a good time in Ukraine. Don't do anything stupid. Don't forget me ;) and always remember Heavenly Father loves you.
